EHS & Sustainability

We have been adhering to the Responsible Care Global Charter’s requirements since 2007, demonstrating our long-standing dedication to ethical and sustainable operations. This commitment is further validated by our consistent Gold and Silver EcoVadis ratings across our European sites, recognizing our robust sustainability management system.

Minakem is monitoring our Greenhouse Gas Emissions according to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) scope 1 and 2.

Since 2019,

We are committed to aligning with the “1.5°C” target by 2030, actively working to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to global climate goals. Each year CDP survey is filled in and shared with customers.

Recognizing the importance of renewable energy, we have negotiated energy supply agreements that allow our customers to request their APIs be manufactured using renewable energy sources. This initiative empowers our partners to make more sustainable choices and contribute to a greener supply chain.

We also prioritize water conservation and have implemented a comprehensive water management program. This program focuses on optimizing water usage, reducing consumption, minimizing our impact on local water resources and increase internal recycling.

Our sites process all of their water discharges using either an internal treatment process carried out in the plant or an external treatment by a third-party waste water treatment plant.

Our commitment to sustainability is an ongoing journey. We continually strive to improve our environmental performance, engage with our stakeholders, and contribute to a more sustainable future for all. We believe that by integrating sustainability into every aspect of our business, we can create long-term value for our company, our partners, and the planet.

“Our business generates both non-hazardous and hazardous waste. All waste materials are monitored to ensure traceability until legal treatment by qualifying service providers. Efforts to maximize the recycling and valorisation of all waste materials are made by all sites.” ESG Minafin Report
