Minakem will celebrate chemistry in 2019
International Year of the Periodic Table 2019
2019 will be the 150th anniversary of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements and has therefore been proclaimed the “International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements (IYPT2019)” by the United Nations General Assembly and UNESCO.
2018-2019: in France, “the year of chemistry, from primary school to university!”
Because chemistry is so important and in order to highlight the role of chemistry in industry and its contribution to technological, economical and sustainable development, Minakem will organize open doors for high school students to visit its production facilities and R&D laboratories in Beuvry-la-Forêt (Lille area, France), and Dunkirk (France). Students will be guided through our operations and have a chance to meet with our teams of chemistry enthusiasts.

Minakem’s project: “GREEN PZQ, an eco-responsible manufacturing process for a medicine”. The ecological footprint of this process has indeed been reduced over optimizations. At the end of the research, this method makes it possible to manufacture a pharmaceutical active ingredient of high quality and low cost without using any organic solvents.
