euroPLX 78 Lisbon - Registration Fee and Conditions

The Registration Fee and Conditions apply for all registrants and the companies represented by the registrants without exception and are acknowledged by the act of registration.

Period and Scope of Services

The registration fee specified below entitles the registrant to access the business opportunities presented in the RauCon Marketplace for Pharma Business Opportunities during the period and starting on the day specified for each Marketplace. The package includes online information exchange, communication and interaction, a 7 + 14 days online video meetings facility and a 2-days in-person event at the venue indicated. Making no or only partial use of the package will not qualify for any refund of part or all of the registration fee:

• Pre-Marketplace: Access to the proprietary RauCon online system; upload of own business opportunities; access to the business opportunities of other companies; use of communication and interactive tools.

• Venue Meetings Event: As outlined in the Programme, two business lunch buffets, one RauCon Networking Dinner Buffet, all-day refreshments.

• Video Meetings Period: 7 + 14 days of Video Meetings before and after the Venue Meeting Event for any number of pre-arranged, preparatory, additional, follow-up, stand-alone or alternate meetings using Zoom® within the RauCon online system or other video tools externally.

• PDF materials: Individual Delegate‘s Package (contains business opportunities relevant for a registrant's scheduled meetings), Complete Company Profiles Package (contains all business opportunities).

• Post-Marketplace: Access to this Marketplace’s partnering information for about three months; access to all downloadable partnering and event information of previously attended RauCon Marketplaces for as long as the user account is in operation.

In the case of meeting or travel restrictions decreed by the venue country's authorities or other cases of Force Majeure which could prevent the physical presence of some or all registrants, the video format will equivalently replace the in-person event at the venue.


Registration and Payment of Fee

Registration must be received by RauCon before or on March 28, 2022. Along with receiving confirmation and invoice and the euroPLX 78 Guide, registrants will be asked to provide non-confidential partnering information (the “myOpportunities Offer”) for this euroPLX Marketplace. RauCon reserves the right to close the registration period for the meetings event prematurely if organisational or capacity reasons so require. Video Meeting registration will be possible until the registration deadline indicated above.

For technical reasons relating to the partnering process registrations done through travel agents cannot be accepted.

Payment of registration (attendance) fee by bank transfer is strictly due before or by the due date stated on the invoice. Credit Card Payment has to be effected within one week. RauCon reserves the right to keep a registration pending or to deactivate a registrant's access to the partnering area as long as payment is not received.

Fees and Timelines - euroPLX 78 Lisbon, April 4 + 5, 2022

* per registrant. Value Added Tax (presently at 19%) to be added for customers with residence in Germany.


Multiple Registrations Bonus

Additional delegates of the same company will save €200 if they opt for same appointments; they will be charged the full registration (attendance) fee if they opt for separate in-person and / or video meetings.


Trainee Programme

RauCon offers the participation of Trainees in RauCon Marketplaces for Pharma Business Opportunities at a reduced registration (attendance) fee of €800 per Trainee.

For purposes of definition, a Trainee is a person who
•    is currently being trained in BD&L
•    has never attended a RauCon Event before
•    will be accompanied by a regular attendee of the same company who will guide the Trainee through jointly attended meetings.

A Trainee will neither receive an individual schedule nor any documents, but will be invited to enjoy all meals and beverages at the meetings event just like a regular registrant. The Trainee status will be displayed on the name badge.


Cancellation & Transfer Policy

Cancellation Policy: Registration fees are refundable in full if cancellation is received at the RauCon office in writing by February 4, 2022. Written cancellations received between February 5, 2022 and March 11, 2022, inclusive, will be subject to the payment of 50% of the registration fee. Cancellations after this date are non-refundable. Substitutions of registrants from the same company are welcomed anytime.

Frequent Attendee Cancellation Policy: Registrants who have personally attended three times or more, and at least once during the 12 months preceding the current RauCon Marketplace, may cancel their registration and be fully refunded if cancellation is received by March 11, 2022. Cancellations after this date are non-refundable.

Transfer-to-Next-Marketplace Policy: A transfer of a registration to one of the next RauCon Marketplaces for Pharma Business Opportunities is possible until March 11, 2022; a onetime transfer is free of charge. Any difference in fees resulting from bonuses applying at different times of registration is non-refundable. All subsequent transfers of the same registration will each be charged €450 in compensation for outlay and handling fees.


Right to Reject

RauCon reserves the right to reject a registration if the registrant is not a pharma or biopharma industry executive in charge with business development matters of his/her company, or a broker/consultant with a clear mandate (evidence compulsory).


Use of Names

The display of the names of the companies of registrants and of attending delegates in public and internal lists in various sections of www.raucon.com is a requirement for the online and event process. If a formal permit on the side of the registrant's company is required, the registrant will undertake to procure the same prior to registration.


Hotel Accommodation

RauCon has reserved a block of rooms for the meetings event at the Hotel Cascais Miragem (the event hotel) which attendees may book at discounted group rates until 4 March 2022:

€190,00 for single occupancy room
€210,00 for double occupancy room

incl. breakfast buffet and VAT. City tax of currently € 1.00 per night per person will be added.

Booking or cancellation of a hotel room is a transaction between the registrant and the event hotel without any liability of RauCon. RauCon provides a hotel room booking form exclusively for registrants to download after log-in. Rooms are subject to availability. For room cancellation conditions please refer to the hotel's booking confirmation.

If credit card details are not provided as guarantee, the hotel may ask for a deposit.


Force Majeure Clause

RauCon reserves the right to cancel, or hold entirely in remote access video format, the complete event in case of Force Majeure including, but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorist attack, epidemic, disaster, strike, civil disorder, curtailment of transportation facilities, or emergency government order which would make it illegal, extraordinarily hazardous, or impossible to provide the facilities, travel to the event, or hold the event. In case of Force Majeure RauCon will not owe any indemnification to registrants.

The Conference Hotel

Attention: Confirmed registrants book their rooms through their RauCon user accounts after log-in.

The 5-star Hotel Cascais Miragem is located about 25-40 minutes from Lisbon, between Estoril, the favourite destiny of the royal families and the aristocracy for the exclusivity and beauty of the area and the wonderful weather, and Cascais, the picturesque town that offers a cosmopolitan atmosphere known for its beautiful beaches, restaurants, shops and night life.

The majority of the oversized guest rooms (about 30 square metres) have large terraces offering spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, the bay of Cascais and its Marina, while the remainder have views of the gardens.

All guest rooms have high-speed internet cable access, in-room safe, and a work desk, apart from the usual 5-star amenities.

Check-in time is 15:00h (3:00 p.m.), check-out time 12:00h. Breakfast is served from 6:30h to 10:00h.

euroPLX 78 Lisbon will be held in all rooms of the entire event area.

From the Airport to the Hotel

A taxi ride from the Lisbon International Airport to the hotel can take anything from 25 to 45 minutes, depending on daytime, traffic, and temper of the taxi driver. The fare should be about 40-50 Euro (daytime) plus 1.60 Euro for each piece of luggage. An additional 20% is charged for services on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and for nighttime service from 9pm to 6am.


The Weather

Lisbon has a warm climate, with a sunny spring, and April has average temperatures of almost 20 degrees Celsius during the day and 10-12 degrees at night. April can be rainy but also completely dry.


The Currency: the EURO

The currency used in Portugal is the Euro. There is an easy to use Currency Calculator on the Web which calculates rates provided by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Major credit cards such as Visa, American Express, Mastercard, Diners are accepted in most places.


Electricity

220-volt AC, 50Hz, two-pin continental plugs (round-prong plugs with side grounding contacts). Adaptors are available at the hotel and at the airport.

Pre-Event or Post-Event Video Meetings

The two-days in-person meetings event is embedded in a video meetings period before and after the event which allows for any number of pre-arranged, preparatory, additional, follow-up, stand-alone or alternate video meetings running on RauCon’s secure cloud environment. Already fixed half-hour event meetings may be turned into full-hour video meetings and rescheduled to any date within the video meetings period if circumstances require.
